…and the cost of the EV’s …which are expensive. GM is selling low level Bolt, cheaply ~$25k to demonstrate EV”s can be cheap, but that’s a shell game with cost to manufacture BEV coming from gaso cars. Just you wait Enry Iggins . But buy that Bolt if you can with $7500 Federal instant rebate in Jan-2023. GM and Tesla buyers have been getting those subsidies since 2012, and now they get even more better.

    3. Or tell them not to charge them, as California just did a week after mandating all cars be EVs by 2035.

Glad the caption was there. Without it, I would have guessed that Bezos finally decided to fire the Post’s editorial board and replace it with people with 5 times the integrity of the current board.

The doctor who will treat your black lung thanks you.

Although I’d have preferred the caption to be:

“Me and the boys after a day working in the coal mine to pay off someone’s gender studies major.”*

*”and to dig the coal used to generate the electricity to charge your EVs batteries”.

The miner is black vis-a-vis the diploma ink.

Coal, oil, and natural gas received $5.9 trillion in subsidies in 2020 — or roughly $11 million every minute — according to a new analysis from the International Monetary Fund. Explicit subsidies accounted for only 8 percent of the total.

    1. I’d like to see that. Gotta link?

    2. Okay. Let’s assume that is 100% true.

Do you think the coal companies gave the other 92% to the miners who are now going to have to help pay down the student loans of a bunch of spoiled, entitled, greedy people who majored in nonsense?

That “someone” is most likely their own kids…

    1. If that’s the best you can come up with, I’d suggest you go back to the drawing board.

Or perhaps just admit that using our taxpayer dollars to “forgive” even a portion of people’s student loans is/was an awful idea

I think it was idea that will come back to bite them in the interim elections. It is this very idea that will cause the Dems to lose the house.
