Will a strong majority ever recognize that we have gone and are going too far. Is the cancel culture reverse racism?

Would y’all like some freedom fries with your cancel culture whine?

Dr. Suess? A racist? Say it ain’t so, Joe. Say it ain’t so.

Yep. I did ask a teacher who said that, yes, some of it was offensive and inappropriate , especially for children and yes, some of it is clearly racist.

Why can’t we admit this instead of blathering on and on about “cancel culture”?

If we can’t admit the truth – then how can we go forward ?

Defending racism as a part of your culture is like buying a Ford Taurus station wagon. It’s an outward sign that you’ve made it as far as you’re ever going to get.

Will you please provide a couple of examples of the offensive and/or racist passages from the affected books?

Ok. With Ralph Northam still Governor (although he just knifed Herring in part over this) and with Andy “Hands” Cuomo still Governor of NY, it is impossible to take any of this seriously. The Left only cares if it can use this stuff to score political points or destroy an opponent — when it is their own people involved, things go very, very quiet….. I honestly do not give a damn if Geisel in his youth drew cartoonish stereotypes. His books have been educational and cultural treasures for decades, and that is what matters.

It’s amazing how much can change in a mere two years. In 2019 Dr. Seuss was considered a liberal-in-good-standing:
