How many times do I have to tell you?! It’s PILLAGE then burn!

    2. Oh you mean campaign ads like the one attacking the Black, female, Nobel prize winning American author about the book “Beloved” which was on the AP English literature reading list?

  2. All the Lib/Dem racists can leave now, maybe head to Connecticut, home of the proponent of the clean, well spoken, Negroes from the Negro leagues the Racist in Chief Joe (Brandon) Biden.

I have never been more proud to be a resident of the Old Dominion

One would never know from reading comments that race is a suspect classification under the Constitution. But what’s worse is the left’s flexible treatment of Asians. They can be part of both minority groups or honorary white people as the needs change. Democracy Dies in Darkness – Let’s Go Brandon.

I suspect when Asians and Muslims are attacked , they know the correct political party…. supporters…

Like the all-Democratic School Board when it eliminated entrance exams from TJHSST admission? A key reason that Youngkin beat McAuliffe was just enough suburban voters, which have significant Asian and Middle Eastern components, did not vote for Terry. Maybe they think the Democrats calling them minorities one day and white people the next based on what is needed to come off woke isn’t acceptable most especially when it screws their kids.

It’s like a friend of mine who ranted and raved for months because a significant number of Obama voters in 2008 and 2012 did not vote for Clinton in 2016. And probably ranted and raved that Trump’s share of black and Hispanic voters increased in 2020 even as many white voters for Trump in 2016 went to Biden. You don’t need to win every demographic group, only shave the margins.

I think when push comes to shove that Asians, Muslims and Hispanics know which party actually cares if they are discriminated against and attacked…

Hint : The Dems do not have groups that support them that say “We will not be replaced” or oppose even legal immigration.

The GOPs supposed support of the Asians is pure political BS… a way to get votes from the gullible.

Trump’s increase in black votes was attributed to his opposition to illegal immigration that pushes down wages for low-skilled workers. Illegals uber alles isn’t a winning formula even among Hispanic Americans.

You’ve missed the ball on Asians. The reworking of performance-based educational opportunities has kicked a lot of Asian and Middl-Eastern parents in the face. Youngkin pealed off enough suburban votes that, when coupled with huge rural margins and much higher rural turnout.

In Loudoun County this November, McAuliffe outpaced Youngkin 55 percent to 44. But Biden had beaten Trump there by 62 percent to 37. Youngkin’s showing was only 11,000 votes fewer than Trump won a year earlier, while McAuliffe notched 50,000 fewer votes than Biden had. While Biden carried Fairfax by 42 points, McAuliffe only took it by 31.

And to get those changes, given the ethnic diversity in NoVA, a lot of non-white people didn’t vote for McAuliffe.

            re: ” , a lot of non-white people didn’t vote for McAuliffe.”

            Well… it looks like this:

according to that WaPo you say you don’t read…

            https://www.washingtonpost.com/elections/interactive/2021/exit-polls-virginia-governor/

Youngkin got just enough to win but not exactly big majorities of non-white.

Another thing to know about Asians in NoVa is that they are wealthy immigrants. Of the ones who got into the Loudoun Academies, just 2% were low income and yet Asians went for McAulife by +34%.

Youngkin won, clearly, but not sure I’d try to make the case that a majority of non-white folks voted for him… he peeled off a few – but they still pretty much voted Dem.

The Va GOP and Youngkin do have an opportunity to pay more attention to non-white voters but to this point – their primary constituency is shown in this chart:

You still don’t get it. There are a helluva lot of Asians who came here with damn little. I know a number of them.

And I’ve never said a majority of any minority group voted for Youngkin. But he picked off enough of them, along with other other people who voted for Biden a year earlier, that, when combined with the larger rural turn-out voting for Youngkin, put him over the top. Telling parents that they shouldn’t be providing input into what schools teach was a dumb-ass thing to do.

Most Asian immigrants are well educated and not poor… For all the HOO HAW about the magnet schools – if you look at the actual stats – you’ll see that only 2% of the Asians are poor. It’s the wealthy oes that pay to send their kids to academic boot camps so they can then qualify on “merit” to the magnet schools.

Yes, wealthy Asians will likely vote GOP but Youngkin is probably not going to help poor Asian kids get into the magnet schools anymore than he will other poor demographics… but he and the GOp will exploit the issue to their advantage, yes.

Oh and I totally agree with you on the dumbass remark – that very likely cost McA the election so in that respect, if he is really that dumb, he doesn’t deserve to be Governor anyhow.

What Loudoun County did with it’s magnet schools was really not much different than a lot of other higher level school and many Colleges now days where a certain number of kids are valued for other areas besides just academics – just like we do for kids that are talented in sports….

we give full scholarships to kids who suck at academics so there is some hypocrisy here on the academic-only claims… and beyond that, we apparently totally discriminate against Asians with sports scholarships, eh?

I think sometimes Conservatives are a bit myopic… tunnel vision.. just their narrow focus on issues.. through a political prism so they can win and get to be in charge – then they just screw it all up like McDonnell did…
