As I recall, international law forbids imbedding combatants among civilians. Bill Clinton noted that Hamas has been regularly doing this for years.

Probably true. What about killing those who are not combatants because they are there also?

I suspect it gets complicated. Efforts to avoid killing civilians who are not also combatants or aiding combatants are supposed to be made, but, as I understand the rules, the fault lies with the side using non-combatants as shields.

it work in Vietnam or Afghanistan? I have zero sympathy with Hamas and any/all of it’s Palestinian supporters but there are thousands and thousands of women/children – and some men , that hate Hamas themselves that are being killed. Beyond that, in terms of practicalities, is there any real hope that all of Hamas and it’s supporters will be killed and all that is left is true innocents that are glad Hamas is 100% gone? More likely, more Hamas are being created by those whose own family members have been killed. Hearts and minds. We never learn.

Dems seem to especially like displacing their own issues on their opponents. Sometimes they get away with it. They and their apologists are every bit as disgusting as the Repubs if not more so because we expect better of them.

My point exactly, thank you for reinforcing it. Dems generally displace their issues on others.
For example, accusing Trump of colluding with Russia when it was in fact the Clinton campaign paying for dossier foolishness that came from Russian sources. Or Hillary the other day accusing Trump of Putin love because he’d like to imprison his opponents too while Dems are trying their best to put Trump in jail.
Y’all can do better, and I wish you would, but I’m not holding my breath. That kind of nonsense is part of why I’m no longer a Dem.

Hey, I still admire FDR, no Repub here. Dems and Repubs increasingly seem alternate faces of the same ruling elite.
One of these days us populists/indys will get our stuff together and vote the monoparty out. Not holding my breath, but each election there are more of us so there’s hope.:)

They can, just as boats can double as holes in the water. We pour money into both, and generally feel it’s worth the expense.:)
