“There are nine health systems on the list.”

There are 50 states. Should I calculate the probability of not getting at least one?

So here’s some more germane questions. 1) In which States were those nine health systems located? 2) Of those States with one of those “Top 100” health systems, which have COPN/CON laws?

Oops, lemme see, Texas. That’s it. One of thos 9 is in a State without COPN/CON laws. The rest, like CA, OH, NJ, FL, etc., do.

Might not want to make a big deal about that, Captain.

Your research is faulty. Here is the Forbes list of health systems that are included in best places to work.

        7. Texas Health Resources (Arlington)
        19. Northwell Health (New Hyde Park, N.Y.)
        28. Southern Ohio Medical Center (Portsmouth)
        45. Baptist Health South Florida (Coral Gables)
        49. OhioHealth (Columbus)
        67. Atlantic Health System (Morristown, N.J.)
        68. BayCare Health System (Clearwater, Fla.)
        76. Scripps Health (San Diego)
        90. WellStar Health System (Marietta, Ga.

California and Texas do not have CON laws and have not for a long time.

Florida’s CON law does not regulate general hospitals, complex medical rehabilitation beds and tertiary hospital services.

Ohio, with two of the companies, has a CON law that regulates only long term care facilities.

The best source if you are really interested is https://www.mercatus.org/publications/healthcare/con-laws-2020-about-update

Only three of the Fortune nine health systems as best places to work are in states with CON laws that affect them.

Well done, James, but you unfortunately keep citing facts. Facts don’t matter to Progressives. Feelings, liberal political and economic theory, and hating any company that makes a profit do. Gotta get with the woke program!

Capitol One is a great company. The company started as an independent entity when CEO Richard Fairbank’s Signet Bank credit card division was spunoff from the bank in 1995 after its acquisition by then First Union (now Wells Fargo). All kudos to Richard Fairbank who has cultivated and maintained an entrepreneurial culture in what’s now the #10 bank ranked by total assets in the US. Quite a success story.
