In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attack, Young America’s Foundation, a conservative student group, planted 2,977 flags in the University of Virginia’s Amphitheater. Vandals knocked down the flags and flipped a table with a banner. Expressing solidarity with the perpetrators, Twitter users equated the memorial service to the white supremacist torch march of the infamous United the Right rally and said falsely that YAF has “ties to the neo-Nazi movement.” See the full story here. — JAB

Oh well. Lie with dogs…

You are sick.

those damn white supremacists……. they just gotta hate and destroy – -just like at that looting, burning, destruction on 6 Jan.. oh wait…..that was in those cities during those BLM ‘mostly peaceful demonstrations’

Usual brilliance from Nancy…not sure if there was a real point.
I did enjoy the people self-identifying as idiots. Obviously their Moms never told them “Fools’ names and fools’ faces oft times appear in public places.”
So I am truly sorry for possibly offending Muslims for remembering that jihadis killed 2,977 people that day of all religions, made airport travel Hell, enabled a super-spy state now used against citizens… but feelings hurt! And that trumps all in Woke-istan. -
Free speech means free speech.

The vandalism was stupid and made no sense. Why is there the assumption that the vandalism was committed by UVa students?

I believe this happened to the YAF display either last year or the year before.

‘and said falsely that YAF has “ties to the neo-Nazi movement.”’
We should take your word for that, JAB…?? Or theirs….??
-
When did the YAF claim to have ties to neo-Nazis?

I find it annoying that right wing groups like the YAF or the “Jefferson Council” presume to define what “patriotism” is for the rest of us.
-
How does either group define how you should be patriotic? Both define how it is patriotic and takes such action. Neither is forcing anyone through physical force, litigation, violence, destruction, rioting, looting, graffiti or any other ‘acts’ to do as they do. Both merely want its actions to be protected from violence and destruction. Such radicalism!

Yes, please do explain how protesting vandalism of their flags constitutes “defining patriotism.”

I find it ironic at the present that the American flag is even associated with freedom. Let’s see in this year alone we have some 5 trillion wasted in the Middle East post 9/11 resulting in untold financial burden on the labor of future generations AND ever growing domestic medical tyranny and misinformation.
