Mr. Framme --

This is an excellent encapsulation of the true challenge of any effective administration (or any organization for that matter). Gather as much info as possible, evaluate, act, measure/monitor, and readjust, if needed.

Your point about all ideologies having good points is a critical one, which folks of any particular persuasion often won't acknowledge.

For the 1/4 century I served as a manager in the Federal Government, I tried to listen to and welcome all sides. I wasn't too concern about whether folks and I agreed or disagreed. I wanted them to know I listened -- and hopefully understood their positions. I also didn't feel threatened by their views. After all, I had 51% of the vote, so I was happy to hear all sides so when I made my decision I was better informed about what I was up against.

Is there a particular URL where I can assess your other writings? I hope you'll scan mine, especially if you have trouble sleeping. :)
